Dosage
Dosage should be individualised and determined by the prescribing practitioner based on the indication and patient response.
Typical dosing considerations include:
• Usually administered once daily, often in the evening due to sedative effects
• May be used continuously or cyclically depending on treatment plan
• Capsules should be swallowed whole with water
• May be taken with or without food
Regular clinical review and monitoring are recommended.

Mechanisms of Action
Progesterone is a natural progestogen.
Its mechanisms include:
Endometrial transformation
Progesterone converts the endometrium from a proliferative to a secretory state, preparing it for implantation.
Regulation of hormonal balance
Balances the effects of estrogen and reduces the risk of endometrial hyperplasia.
Effects on reproductive system
Supports pregnancy maintenance and normal menstrual function.
Central nervous system effects
May have sedative and calming effects via interaction with GABA receptors.

• Hypersensitivity to progesterone or formulation components
